Back on land we visited the Valley of the Kings. Photography is not allowed down inside the tombs, which is a pity because the painted hieroglyphs and images are in excellent condition. We visited Tutankamen's tomb, as well as Ramses III, IV & IV. These hidden underground tombs were built after it was realised that pyramids were too visible and therefore vulnerable to robbers |
